This year has been rough for us Facebook advertisers.
Facebook decided to shut accounts down, left and right. The worst part, is that they weren't telling anyone really how to make our landing pages compliant.
Facebook has one of the most powerful advertising platforms on the planet right now. So it's important to have compliant pages, so your Ad account doesn't get shut down.
Over the last 6 months, I've been networking with other Facebook advertisers and talking with Facebook reps on what I CAN and CAN NOT do on landing pages, ad copy, ad images and overall “big idea” on our landing page.
These steps are very important to implement TODAY to make sure your Facebook advertiser account does not get shut down.
Most of these steps come directly from Facebook, so pay close attention.
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Do not manipulate the user's behavior.
Step 2: Do not mislead the user with images that are not about the end goal of the landing page.
Step 4: The user must easily identify who their working with and/or doing business with.
Step 5: Add contact information (best to have phone number, email address and mailing address) to your landing page.
Step 6: No outrageous claims or claims you can't prove on your ads. No fear-based ads and/or super hyped angles.
Step 7: Make sure to be clear on what your landing page is providing for the user. No bait and switch.
Follow these 7 steps and you will be safe with advertising on Facebook.
